Teresa Chlapowski

Teresa creates both sculptural and functional glass pieces (including wall panels). Her more recent work is imbued with a riot of colour, light and reflections.

As a way of expressing her textile background, she uses glass to create intricate patterns and flowing textures in her fused glass vessels, often using one off moulds. In her more freestanding multilayered sculptures, Teresa ‘paints’ glimpses of the human form that is simultaneously mysterious and revealing but always with a story to tell.

Teresa uses a variety of techniques including fusing and sand casting, as well as combining glass with ceramics and photography.
