Nicky Nunn
‘Long Dogs’ Ink and dip pen.
Nicky Nunn works in both dry and wet mediums, often with Indian Ink and dip pen which allow him to explore the capabilities of line which expresses his emotive response to the subject.
His work with dogs observes how the passion for the subject can become a dictating factor
in the process, overriding more conscious intentions and enjoying elements of chance and surprise. He works from the everyday, abstracting and assembling, transforming dogs and people into symbolist scenes using mediums varying from charcoal, ink, and oil paint.
Currently, Nicky is working on a series of large-scale figurative works in oil and charcoal, themed around familial structures and the bonds between them. He is also exploring the potential of print processes; he has created several works using lino cut and etching techniques.
Nicky is one of the newer members of the creative community at Parndon Mill , bringing yet more energy and talent. He welcomes commissions, full details of which can be found on the website below:
